The 8" Drum Floor Sander is the machine you need to remove tough finishes. If you are sanding a new unfinished floor we recommend renting the U-Sander or the Orbital Sander, since they are significantly less aggressive than the drum sander. We recommend renting the 7" Edger Sander in conjection with the 8" Drum Sander since it can sand close to walls. Comes with a 25 foot extension cord.
